A Masterful Home Renovation

This renovation brings the character of an old European manor to a home built for the way a family lives now. In the kitchen, the island is topped in reclaimed Noir Saint Laurent marble, its dark ground and white veining set against teal cabinetry, while reclaimed French limestone is laid underfoot in a herringbone pattern. Off the living room, a wine cellar nook is clad in reclaimed antique limestone and closed with an arched wrought iron door. At the hearth, a restored antique limestone fireplace mantel takes center stage, its heavy cornice framed by a landscape painting and antique candelabras. Back in the kitchen and dining area, the herringbone French limestone runs on beneath a dining table finished with marble inlay, and a curved staircase with a scrolled wrought iron balustrade completes the house. Each surface keeps its history while serving everyday life.
